Planes

This is an area of operation that carries different types of traffic. This is a integral part of the network that helps process the traffic. The planes are implemented in the firmware of the network devices. An administrator can configure policies to prioritize the traffic flowing. There are three distinct planes:

• Data plane
• Control plane
• Management plane
